Flutter Entertainment has significantly broadened its global presence by inaugurating a new Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad, following a $3.5 million investment. The expansive facility, situated in RMZ Spire within Knowledge City, encompasses more than 80,000 square feet across three floors.
State-of-the-Art Facility to Host Over 700 Employees
The new centre is set to accommodate over 700 employees and will be a hub for various functions including data engineering, game integrity services, HR operations, procurement, safety and security, and customer operations. By the end of 2024, Flutter plans to boost its workforce at this location to 900, with a notable focus on enhancing diversity, aiming for 40% of leadership roles to be filled by women by 2026.
Leveraging Technology to Support Global Operations
Flutter’s latest investment in Hyderabad will leverage Flutter Edge technology to support the company’s global operations, including its diverse portfolio of online casinos and betting brands such as Paddy Power, Sisal, Sky Betting & Gaming, PokerStars, Sportsbet, and Betfair.
Commitment to Sustainability and Community Support
The Global Capability Centre also underscores Flutter’s commitment to sustainability, earning gold certification from the US Green Building Council for its energy and environmental design under the Positive Impact Plan.
Additionally, Flutter is investing £30,000 in local Hyderabad initiatives for 2024, further demonstrating its dedication to community support.
Executive Perspectives on Growth and Innovation
Phil Bishop, Chief Operating Officer at Flutter Entertainment, highlighted the significance of the new centre. “Our expansion in India represents a pivotal milestone in Flutter’s growth trajectory and reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in top talent to fuel global business expansion,” Bishop said. “With centres of excellence in multiple domains and the capabilities of Flutter Edge, the Hyderabad Global Capability Centre is poised to drive innovation and strengthen our footprint in the Indian job market.”
Strong Financial Performance and Future Outlook
This expansion comes on the heels of Flutter’s impressive Q2 2024 performance, as reported by CEO Peter Jackson, who noted a 20% year-over-year increase in total group revenue. Consequently, the company has revised its full-year revenue guidance upwards, anticipating a 20% increase in revenue and a 34% rise in adjusted EBITDA at the midpoint.
As Flutter continues to evolve and expand, its Hyderabad centre stands as a testament to its strategic growth and commitment to both innovation and community development.
