Responsible Gambling Day on February 17th

Responsible Gambling Day on February 17th

On February 17th, we celebrated the annual International Responsible Gambling Day. Its origins trace back to 2008 when it was initiated with the support of the European Betting and Gaming Association (EGBA) and UNESCO. The goal is to emphasize the importance of responsible gambling, promote harm prevention in the gaming industry, and raise awareness about gambling addiction.

Simultaneously, the day aims to advocate for ethical perspectives on luck-based gambling, such as slot machines, and share information about healthy gaming habits. Additionally, it seeks to enhance understanding of the serious consequences of addiction related to gambling, betting, and online gambling in general.

Through this campaign, we want to remind all players that gaming should be enjoyable leisure time and not consume all of their free time.

Explore Responsible Gambling Tools

The purpose of the day is to spread awareness among players about the responsible gambling tools available online and encourage them to utilize these tools while playing. Nearly every safe online casino offers various responsible gambling features that allow players to monitor or limit their own gaming. Some of these tools include:

  • Deposit Limits
  • Loss Limits
  • Time Limits
  • Game Breaks or Account Freezing
  • Bet Limits
  • Account History

For additional information on responsible gambling and the available tools, players can reach out to casino customer service. When playing at an online casino, it’s essential to pay attention to the time spent gaming and always stay within your predetermined budget.
